A Little Bit of Country....

Being from Nashville, country music has a very special place in my heart. I used to hate it, but I have come to terms with my hometowns heritage. I think this necklace is a perfect representation of Nashville. So many people come here with dreams of making it in the music industry - not just in performing. But there are song writers, producers, musicians and more. And Nashville has become much more than country music, but all kinds of music. But the necklace above shows those dreams and hopes and aspirations that everyone has. I love this necklace!

Motivational Monday!

Time for another installment of Motivational Monday! Today's focus is family. Family is something that should be celebrated everyday and I have been blessed with a fantastic family and extended family. I don't know where I would be without them. And Origami Owl is a great way to show your love for your family.

Origami Owl Gives Back

One of the things that I love about Origami Owl as a company is their desire and ability to give back in any way that they can. After the horrific shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, Origami Owl debuted a Limited Tagged Collection Necklace where 100% of the proceeds went to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund. This fundraiser recently ended and I am proud to announce that over $20,000 was raised. A big thank you to all of you who purchased those necklaces.

But Origami Owl doesn't stop there. Recently, regional events were held in San Diego, California and Nashville, Tennessee. At each of these events, attendees were encouraged to bring personal care items to donate such as shampoo, conditioner, diapers, soap, toothbrushes etc. The response was outstanding.

In San Diego, these items were donated to Hidden Treasures Foundation. This non-profit organization exists in order to restore women and children who have been victimized by sex slavery and human trafficking industry. Their vision is that each person victimized by these terrible circumstances will come to an understanding of who they were created to be and who they are in Christ...treasures. In Nashville, the items were donated to Weaver Domestic Violence Shelter, which is the largest shelter of its kind in Tennessee. This organization offers a safe haven and services to more than 400 women and their children. They give hope and job opportunities to more than 275 General Education Degree (G.E.D) graduates at their extensive preparation program sites and help more than 200 school girls make decisions that help them to become strong, smart and bold as they shape their lives. As a Nashville native, this organization is near and dear to my heart and I'm gratefully that Origami Owl takes the time to give back.

I am extremely proud and grateful to be working for such a community and philanthropy minded company. Origami Owl truly is a force for good. Thank you to all of those who support Origami Owl and their philanthropies.

Who doesn't love the Oscars? This year I am rooting for Silver Linings Playbook and Les Mis. But it is always exciting to see what people are wearing on the red carpet. So here it is - the perfect look for an Oscars viewing party! This Origami Owl living locket is a medium gold locket with a gold "dream" plate. What an amazing year it's been! When I founded Origami Owl in 2010 I had little idea that the company would be the success that it is today. At the time, I was 14 and started with a simple goal to earn enough money to buy a car for my 16th birthday. In the beginning I sold Living Lockets at home parties and events. As word spread about our unique jewelry line, we continually heard from women who wanted to know how they could bring Origami Owl to their family and friends. They were the inspiration behind what would be the future of our company. Today we proudly partner with thousands of women across the country who run their own Origami Owl businesses. Their success has been our motivation!

What is a Jewelry Bar?

Origami Owl is a direct selling company. That means independent designers, like myself, spread the word through home parties called Jewelry Bars. The concept is similar to Pampered Chef or Thirty One Bags. Hosting a Jewelry Bar is fun and exciting and a great way for the hostess to earn gift certificates and discounts.

At a Jewelry Bar, guests will have the opportunity to custom design their own living lockets to tell their own unique story. There are charms in many categories including love, faith, pets, family, celebrations, hobbies, occupations, and even greek letters! Are you interested in hosting a jewelry bar? Email me!

What is Origami Owl?

I have created this blog to spread the world about the amazing product that is Origami Owl and also to showcase the fabulous lockets that will be made at the Jewelry Bars.


Origami Owl is a new and exciting jewelry line that allows people to customize their own living lockets.  Independent designers (that's me) walk each person through the process of creating their locket. You pick which locket (gold, silver or rose gold) and then you can fill it with charms that are specific and unique to what is important to you! So each locket will tell your story!

But Origami Owl is way more than living lockets. They also have a Tagged collection that is a new take on the military dog tags, but more to come on that later.
